Steve Jablonsky is a Hollywood film and game composer at Hans Zimmer's Remote Control Productions.  In 1997, he debuted the company and created additional music for numerous film scores by Harry Gregson-Williams. These included The Borrowers, Smilla's Sense of Snow, Deceiver, Armageddon, The Replacement Killers, Enemy of the State, Antz, and Chicken Run. Unsurprisingly he assisted on Gregson-Williams' cinematic score to the video game Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, but was not credited for the role. Later he worked on additional music for Hans Zimmer's projects Hannibal, Pearl Harbor, Spirit, Tears of the Sun and the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.

With such massive experience behind him, eventually Jablonsky became the main composer of several important films. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre was the first major release he scored and he aimed for an innovative approach to horror scoring. He later also returned to score its prequel and The Amityville Horror. His extensive experience working with Michael Bay made him the composer of choice for The Island and Transformers, noted for their action-packed and thematically compelling scores. The latter especially has propelled him to fame as a film composer and he will unsurprisingly return for the sequel.

Since the sixth episode, Jablonsky has been responsible for the music in the TV series Desperate Housewives. Between the Hollywood epics, he finds scoring light and intimate music for the series a refreshing outlet. In other unusual projects, he scored the Japanese animated movie Steamboy,  the Korean action film D-War, and a BBC documentary. In the last two years, Jablonsky has also scored several video game scores. He emphasised an epic orchestral sound co-composing Command & Conquer 3: Tiberian Wars after series' composer Frank Klepacki had other commitments. It has recently been confirmed that he will compose Gears of War 2 and The Sims 3.
