Liner Notes
The origins of this album go all the way back to 2002, shortly after I had finished my album 'Colony' and was still in that frame of mind, At that time I produced the track 'Starfield' and not long after, 'Aurora Polaris'.
A lot has happened since then; I've moved from the UK back to my native country Norway and have actually released three other albums ('Return to Witchwood', 'Statement' and 'Soothe') in the meantime. But this album has always been there, on the horizon and in my mind.
I want to thanks to those of you who have supported me over the 3 1/2 years that this album has been in production. Your emails of encouragement, the visits to my web site, the downloads of the music tracks and clips that I from time to time make available on the internet, for reading my occasional newsletters and my blog -- and of course, for listening to the racket and making it all worth while. Thank you! I want to dedicate the track "Starfield" to you.
I considered changing the title of this album after I found out that another, unrelated artist had previously released an album with the same title. But this whole album was written with the title "Beneath Another Sky" in mind. It almost felt to me like I couldn't separate the music from the title that I had had in mind all these years while producing it. So, after some consideration, I decided to keep it the title.
