Biography / Trivia

Dominic Glynn is a versatile British composer who has composed for a range of media. He started his career composing incidental music and a main theme arrangement to episodes of Doctor Who from 1986 to 1989. In 1992, he formed the unit Szyzygy with Justin McKay dedicated to hybridising electronic, ambient, and nu-jazz music. They released several albums under Rising High Records culminating in the cult album Morphic Resonance.

Between these projects, Glynn created more than 300 tracks of production music that have been used in numerous television programs including Red Dwarf, West Wing The Bill, and The Simpsons. In 1998, he composed a moody electronic score to Acclaim's shooter Forsaken with Stephen Root. Its success resulted in Glynn joining a team of composers on the video game Re-Volt a year later.

Glynn currently runs the label No Bones Records where he continues to release alternative electronic and jazz music. He also regularly DJs at clubs and festivals across Europe and has a radio show on Japan's Samurai.fm Since 1998, he has continued to hybridise styles while composed for several films and television programs. His credits include Kevin & Perry Go Large, Holy Man, Bad Day, and some short supernatural dramas.
