Nathan McCree is a name most often associated with the music of the first Tomb Raider trilogy. Having worked at Core Design for several years, he was responsible for many soundtracks such as Astérix and the Great Rescue, Soulstar and Swagman. He wrote in a variety of genres, although symphonic music was somehow his trademark.

Not part of Core Design anymore, he has started his own company: McCree Music Ltd. Although he is not writing game music as much as during the 90's, McCree still aspire to compose for this medium and worked on a few titles in recent years, including Lost Toys' Battle Engine Aquila and Kuju Entertainment's The Regiment. Through his company, he also writes music for films and television. A recent project is the animation film Waterlollies by Adam Phillips.

• McCree and Matt Kemp composed the introduction music for the Spice Girls Christmas Show of 1999.
• He was one of the guest composers at the Video Games Live event.
