Over the course of the coming days/weeks, I will be changing a few elements on VGM Rush.

- The Gallery section will be removed. The images will instead be integrated directly in the appropriate sections (i.e. artist profiles, album pages, etc.).
- The Western VGM News section will also be removed since I don't follow them closely enough to make regular updates and I don't like having old topics stay on the front page for long periods. I'm thinking of creating a forum thread about it as a replacement, where anyone could post about what's new on the subject.
- Once again, I'll rework the Gold Mine system. Since I'm planning to add many files, I feel like I spend too much energy on creating links and pages. What I have in mind this time is a simple directory indexer, which will allow people to browse the music like they would do on their computer or on a FTP server. I'll try to have it fit style-wise with the rest of the site.
- A few minor design retouches. I might reduce the width of the main site frame, although the "Company" column would have to be removed in the lists where it appears.

New elements:

- Out of print albums will be featured for download, with biweekly updates.
- Special music compilations will be created and added for download. For example, the selections could be around a game genre (e.g. racing music), a theme (e.g. water music), a composer, and more. I believe these can help get into music which might have been overlooked otherwise and they make a change from the standard soundtrack format.
- While my writing skills and vocabulary are not elaborated, I'll still start writing soundtrack reviews. orion_mk3 provided a good bunch so far, and it's about time I join him in this section of the site. Again, reviews should allow people find out about music they might like.

Working alone on this project, I somehow feel like I tried doing too many things at the same time and neglected many of them. So, I'm cutting on those that captivate me less at the moment and will be putting more energy in those that I believe are more interesting and making VGM Rush stand out compared to other sites, namely the information database and music downloads.

Let me know what you think, and again, if anyone would like to help with anything, you'd be more than welcome!
