Biography

When Frank Klepacki was told to change the upbeat musical style of the "Command & Conquer" series to a more moody approach for the post-apocalyptic "Tiberian Sun", it was as if he had hit a wall. He realized he would need assistance to complete this project and decided to call a friend, Jarrid Mendelson. This is how Jarrid's interesting, but short VGM career began.

They knew each other by touring together at times in their respective bands during the early '90s (Klepacki was in "I AM" and Mendelson in "Hostage Symphony"). When Jarrid's band later broke up, he and the rest of the remaining members started "Loveshack", an '80s cover band which was (and still is) quite popular in the Las Vegas area. He acted as the keyboardist. Frank hanged around and got to know Jarrid better, and learned about his interest for trying something else musically: games.

They worked together on "Tiberian Sun", doing both songs on their own and in duo. Jarrid's last involvement in game music was for yet another Westwood project: "Emperor: Battle for Dune". He did the music for House Ordos (one of the 3 clans to choose from) in a very electronic and synthesized style, while Klepacki took care of House Atreides and David Arkenstone composed the House Harkonnen themes.

Later music projects included creating themes for the "Ultimate Fighting Championship" television program. He also owns a recording studio, Vibe Productions.

Nowadays, he is the co-owner of 24/7 Productions, a Las Vegas based entertainment company. It encompasses a wide array of live event related resources, including production, original bands, cover bands (including Loveshack), dancers, accessories, etc. Jarrid also owns Just Light That, another entertainment company, specialized in the rental of various types of light for special events, like dance floors for example.
