The man behind VGM Rush! Rimo has been around online game music communities since 2002. He possesses an average-to-good knowledge of popular Japanese VGM, but his real expertise is on the Western side. Far from being omniscient on the subject though, yet he continuously seeks to discover more and to help others along the way. Aside being familiar with information, Rimo is also known as a notable game music ripper.

In everyday life, he is a student in biology and speaks French. His MP3 player contains mostly rock, electronic, new age, and jazz/funk music. Western VGM artists he particularly appreciate include Stéphane Picq, Spencer Nilsen, Frank Klepacki, Tim Follin, and David Wise. Other artists such as Peter Gabriel, Mike Oldfield, INXS, Pink Floyd, and many others also find their way on Rimo's playlist. In his spare time, he reflects on how things could be done differently to make the world a better place.

I've been enthusiastic about VGM Rush since Rimo conceived the idea. I've desired a comprehensive Western game music fan site for a long time and knew the results would be spectacular with someone as knowledgeable and dedicated as Rimo behind it. It was always my intention to contribute heavily to coverage expansions and reviews at VGM Rush, but my responsibilities as webmaster of Square Enix Music Online limited my time. Fortunately, I'm now able to commit as a regular news reporter of Western game music and also intend to make some other contributions to the site.

Most probably know me as someone obsessed by Japanese game music. However, I'm also enthusiastic about a lot of Western game music and hope to become an even bigger fan thanks to VGM Rush. Outside the realms of game music, I am a biochemistry student weirdly enthusiastic about genes and proteins. I stay busy, have fun, and keep the music on whenever possible.
